I love to paint with soft pastels. There’s an immediacy to the medium that is unmatched by anything else I’ve worked with. There’s no mixing on a palette, no waiting for paint to dry, no water, no brushes — just my hand and a stick of pigment working on sanded paper.

My primary focus is landscapes, and I am mesmerized by all the different qualities of light.
